Grace Adler Returns...

So, I was lamenting my "Grace Adler" physique yesterday. It is true what they say about breastfeeding... your body is NEVER the same afterwards! (And I didn't have that much to begin with!) My pity party did not last long, however. (Is two weeks long? I don't know...) And I wanted to share my new-found wisdom with my pregnant friends. (And I seem to have a lot of them lately!)

Anyway, to help with weaning, this tea rocks! It has parsely and sage in it, which was used years ago to help stop milk production. And it tastes delicious as well. It sure beats going cold-trukey.
It still amazes me how many people think that nursing a baby is "gross", "sexual" or something that should be done in a bathroom. I think as long as you are discreet, babies should enjoy their meals. Europe and Asia are light-years ahead of us in this regard! I've even heard someone ask, "How come in America the babies get bottles and the husbands get the boobs?" How true! Ha ha. Okay, I'll get off my soap box for now.
But what do YOU think? Why does nursing a baby have such a social stigma?
Click on: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14065706 to see an article on a controversial magazine cover depicting a baby breastfeeding. What's the big deal?

I like the new look to the blog! Very nice!

I think that you should be commended for keeping up with nursing for as long as you did!

I don't see the big deal on nursing mothers --- jeez, what's more natural??!?
Besides, they show everything else on TV & in the movies.
Some people just want something to make a stink about I guess.
I agree w/Megan, you stuck with it and I'm sure it want' very easy.

Give kisses to uir girl & we hope she is feeling better soon. Take care of your self too!!
Love Nana
