SCROLL DOWN FOR LOTS OF UPDATES! (As they don't go in chronilogical order.)
The drive back to Texas was bittersweet. It was good to be headed back home, but we sure miss our family and Kansas friends. During our "Layover" in Manhattan, we got to spend a whole 24 hours with our good friends, the Walkers! I'm going to have to ask them for pics to post!
A few things happened during our trip home that renewed my faith in the kindness of people in general. With "Hello Dollys" no longer amusing Faith, we stopped at a MacDonalds in Oklahoma. Faith had been crying for an HOUR and we thankfully found a MacDonalds with a Playplace for Faith to have a bit of fun. I was a little embarrassed to be carrying a screaming child into the playground. But hey, I figured if anyone asked I could always tell them I was just the hired help!
Faith calmed down as soon as she spied a lovely Asian lady sitting with her kids. (I later found out she was from China.) Faith immediately ran up to her, threw her arms up, and yelled "Nana!" I was even more mortified, but I explained to that wonderful woman that she resembled the Asian half of my family, etc etc. And do you know what that kind woman did? She scooped Faith up in her arms and played with her so that Jason and I could sit in relative peace for a few moments.
The next day (we decided to go slow and take it in 2 days), we stopped at a charming Czech town called "West", in Texas. Not "West Texas", but "West, Texas"! When a shop owner learned of Jason's military background, and my roots from Prague, she gave Faith a balloon, and promised to send me a recipe for Kolache and Buhtka (I know I'm butchering that spelling!)
Aren't people wonderful?

I love it! We are doing Weight Watchers and so far (this week) we have both been happy.
Your Christmas pictures made you look awfully skinny. Are you sure you need to lose weight??
