Thanksgiving was certainly memorable this year! We travelled to Austin, TX to share Thanksgiving Dinner with wonderful friends. Tofurkey, anyone? Yes, we had tofurkey (turkey- flavored and textured tofu) as well as regular turkey! I never thought a mainly vegetarian dinner could taste so delicious, but everything was wonderful!
Thanksgiving Day was also Faith's last official day of "babyhood". She turned 18 months old the next day, so is officially a toddler now! I am a little sad that my baby is growing up so quickly.
Faith has big shoes to fill as she kisses babyhood goodbye...
Friday was also a little traumatic for Momma Marshall as Faith got nipped in the face by Cocoa, the seemingly cute and cuddly cockapoo. In Cocoa's defense, Faith fell right next to her, so I'm sure Cocoa was scared. Still, part of me wondered if anyone would mind if I picked that dog up by the ears and wrung its neck like a chicken! (Hey, I heard the dog was brought to the house uninvited, and our host was furious with her daughter-in-law as they had just gotten new carpet. So maybe I would have done Carol a favor?) Anyways, I was surprisingly calm amidFaith's screams, and Faith's little scratches healed up nicely. I'll let you know if she starts foaming at the mouth...

Karen -- you do such a great job on your blog with everything... from captioning the photos to covering a range of interesting topics and and you write quite well. I love the kissing herself photo -- looks like a good one for our fridge!
So glad you had a new post, it was desperately needed to take my mind off of the immediate current events (home repairs & what have you).
I am looking so forward to seeing all of you again soon -- Crikey it's been way too long!!
