Last week I went to a brunch, the hostess said she would have fruit and drinks and we were to provide the rest. I expected a beautiful fruit tray to go along the HUGE expensive veggie tray I purchased from Costco and a great assortment of fruit juice. Boy was I dissapointed! She set out a few grapes and cut up ONE orange. The drinks were tap water (no ice, and no ice available) and warm apple juice. I was royally offended. I let her keep the veggie tray, she clearly needed it more then me!
These not "real" arm folk don't know how to put on a good spread....geez when you, Donna, Ingrid, and I got together we could have fed a small army!
I think the play date should be more about the children getting together but I know the Moms want something to look forward to as well. You throw a good party Karen, everone knows it! I suggest you continue to host all events as one you would like to attend and be a good example to those women who obviously don't have a clue, maybe they'll catch on. How rude would it be to buy an ettiquette (sp) book as a gift for them? HA HA Poor Faith -- had to retreat to the seclusion of her room? I don't have a little one to tote along but I sure wish I could attend! Miss you guys -- kisses to Faith!
Wow. I didn't know there was so much involved in play dating! BUT I can guaran-damn-tee you that if I brought my child over I would jerk a knot in her if she so much as thought about jumping on your couch! How did you stop yourself from disciplining the other children?!
