Middle Sister: Wicked White
(A blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, and Gewurztraminer)
It's been a topsy-turvy week as we on the Marshall Funny Farm are frantically preparing our home to place on the market. In a nutshell, it is a nightmare. I can't believe how much stuff/junk we have managed to acquire during our 2 short years here in Texas. (I filled a large tub full of purses, and that is after giving half of them away. I don't even want to start about my shoes. Imelda Marcos, you've got nothing on me!) We've made multiple trips to storage, Goodwill; called to schedule carpet cleaning, spring cleaning, lawn care, handyman, the list goes on.
I am also embarrassed to admit a frantic trip to the Goodwill last week after Jason erroneously donated one of Faith's dolls. The doll is 3 feet tall with yellow yarn for hair. It's rather... "special", and was a gift from our neighbor. Our neighbor, God bless her, is quite proud of the doll since she noticed Faith playing with an identical one her daughter has cherished for 14 years. Our lovely neighbor then solicited her mother to hand carry this doll all the way from Puerto Rico. Only to have Jason give said doll away.
So, off I go- ratty sweats, Diana Ross hair and all. Off to Goodwill to find this doll. I was near tears, and looked homeless. The kind manager informed me that the Goodwill has "regular doll collectors" that probably snatched that doll up as soon as it was put on the floor. "Don't worry," she told me, "you're not the first person who gave away something by mistake. We had one lady in here looking for a teddy bear her husband gave her before he was killed in Iraq." Wow. Faith's doll wasn't that important.
On another note, wish me luck as I have enlisted the help of a personal trainer to lose the last 10 lbs of baby weight. His name is Rafael- doesn't that just sound wicked? He resembles a (fit) Carlos from Desperate Housewives.
I leave you with random shots of the girls... I need a drink. Is it 5 o'clock somewhere?

No wonder you think you never have money, you silly girl, I can count on one hand the amount of purses I have bought in the last 5 years.
Good luck with the move.

I love purses. Let your "little cousin" have your Coach or Gucci bags. Just kidding.
Man -- busy place around there!
Good luck with the trainer, I hope he makes you hate him.
Well, there's one more picture of Faith she's gonna love when she grows up!! Ha Ha, it's so cute!!!

I am embarrassed to admit that I thought the same thing as your 'little cousin'... Don't be giving those purses away when *somebody* might be able to use them! :)
I'm definitely looking into that wine. It sounds like trouble!
Just checking in for any new posts :-(
Hope you are having a great weekend!
