Peek-A-Boo!

Nana and Pop-Pop, aka my wonderful parents, drove 12 hours to spend time with Faith. (I no longer have any illusions that said parents actually wanted to spend time with me. Faith is the star now, so I happily relinquish the crown to the new generation.) At Nana's suggestion, Jason and I went on our first solo date IN A YEAR. (Sad, but true.) It was nice getting out for the old standby of dinner and a movie, and Jason and I laughed that we didn't know what to do with each other!

I don't know if my parents' offer/mandate to babysit was purely altruistic, or if they just wanted their grand-baby all to themselves, but Jason and I jumped at the chance to get out of the house together. (Come to think of it, our last date was suggested by my parents too!) It was nice not having to pack a diaper bag to leave the house!

Seriously, I am going to have to find a babysitter I trust. Date night should happen at least once a month, don't you think?

I wholeheartedly agree! Grandparents are great, aren't they?!
