This one is for my Dad, who had this song played for him by friends before he deployed to Vietnam the 2nd time. Sorry Dad, I couldn't find the "Peter, Paul and Mary" song that you remember so fondly- this video was the only pro-military one I found. So Dad, here's to you. I think the song says it all...

What a wonderful video for those American soldiers and other nation's soldier who risk their lives for their country.
