Daddy Comes to the Rescue

Faith, our "flapper"

She's so cute, isn't she?

Jason asked me one day to teach him first aid for a choking infant. We used one of Faith's stuffed animals for our mannequin! I didn't really think Jason was going to remember everything, but he sure did- Faith was choking at a restaurant last night and Jason rescued her like a pro. (I have to admit that part of me wanted to push him away and do it myself!) It left us wondering what other parents do if in a similar situation and they are not CPR certified. (I've been assured by a good friend that asking your babysitter if she is infant CPR certified is a little extreme, but I don't know!) And yes, we all know that I'm a little "hyper-vigilant" when it comes to Faith, but oh well! I'll just save some money for her therapy when she gets older. But, I DO think it is so important for everyone caring for a child to know the basics, so I've included some useful links on the blog. But seriously, check into taking a class.

Hurray for Daddy! Good job Mom for being on top of the game & making sure you guys know your stuff. Thank God.
I am not certified but I did know the information as the links you posted indicated (I researched that myself when Kolby was a baby).
**We already knew Jason was a hero!!
