My friend, Heather, recommended this wonderful eatting establishment in Scottsboro, AL. The Blue Willow is a Victorian home which has been painstakenly refurbished. And the neat thing is that (almost) everything in the home is for sale. Where do I start? The food was WONDERFUL. Jason and I both got fresh biscuits with bourbon butter, charbroiled steaks and FRIED GREEN TOMATOES! Yum. And the hosts were so great, they gave us the tomatoes, dessert and wine for free. (It must have been my excitement at being able to order fried green tomatoes...) It's a rare thing to have a candlelit dinner for less than $50! We were so impressed that we bought the beautiful mugs the coffee came in. (Unlike Heather, we were unable to afford buying the chairs we were sitting on!)
Dad, I have to say that the steaks were even better than yours. (But, it's taken me almost 30 years to find steaks better than yours...) And Mom, come visit so we can go shopping. You would love that Victorian home...

We bought all 6 chairs plus she through in the pillows on them for $150. I couldn't pass it up! It was a pain in the butt getting them back to DC. Yum! YUM! Now you need to go back to the Unclaimed Baggage Outlet, just so you can say you've been there, if your Mom is like my Mom she'll love it too, it is a bargain shoppers haven!!
Heather
Unclaimed Baggage Outlet? Please explain, or is it just as it sounds? If so, Pray that my bags don't end up there, I fly in 8 hours! Anyway, I miss FAITH and Y'ALL!
How cool! I'm so glad that I get to see pictures of y'all!
I have heard stories about the Unclaimed Baggage outlet... and dreamed of it ever since! You will be in pure heaven!
No Wonder I'm Mom's favorite. I don't have kids and I appreciate mom just as much! Haha. Just kidding Karen! I have come to realize that I am at that stage where "I'm turning into my monther!!!" I have also been reffered to as "Little Gloria" and was not always a fan of the nickname! But I am so proud that people can see my mom through me. She is the best therefore I am the best...right?! Anyway, here is a list of the qualities mom and I share:
1. Fashion (she rocked it back in the day I have pictures and I am sad she didn't keep all her cool clothes for me!)
2. Adventure-we love to travel the world and experience new things and dive right into the culture. (Mom takes it up a notch and learns the language though, I am not that skilled)
3. Looks - I know I Know, we are hot!
4. Frustration on household law and order:) - (pets now annoy me because of fur and uprooting my life!!)
5. Loyalty-maybe we bitch and complain about our friends and love ones, but when it comes down to it...if you hurt any of them YOU WILL BE SORRY!
6. The Unconditional Love for RICE!
7. Cooking and Entertaining-no one ever throws a better dinner party than us!
8. Stubborness-Yes, we are right 99% of the time, but when we are wrong...we do own up to it-how rare the occasion:)
Love ya mom!
